Review

If you ever use the free blood pressure monitors located in supermarkets or other public places, and think you would like to own a similar model, then you will like the Panasonic EW3152A.  It's a very simple to use and accurate blood pressure monitor. However, it is quite expensive, and doesn't have as many extra features as you might hope for.

The reason that the Panasonic EW3152A is the best selling Panasonic blood pressure monitor is that it is very easy to use.  If you've ever used a free monitor set up in public areas, then you'll know how simple it is.  All you have to do is insert your arm and press a single button, and the one-touch auto inflate will have the cuff automatically fit your arm for optimal comfort and accuracy.  After waiting a few moments, the LCD display will clearly display your systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements, as well as your pulse rate.  And you also get the comfort of knowing that this blood pressure monitor is tested to be accurate to plus or minus 3mmHG.

One downside of this blood pressure monitor for some people will be its large size.  Measuring 8.7 x 6.1 x 8.3 inches and coming in at 4.9 pounds, the Panasonic EW3152A is several times larger than some blood pressure monitors.  This won't be a problem for everyone, but if you are strapped for space or do a lot of traveling, the large size can be an inconvenience.

Although this monitor has some nice features, at its high end price it would be nice to have more.  The best extra may be the 180 memory units, which can record up to 90 readings for two users.  Also, the auto inflate and hypertension warning system are nice features, although they are pretty basic.  It would be nice if Panasonic used their digital filter technology or flash warning system for this blood pressure monitor.  But the biggest problem some people will have is that there is no support for extra-large cuff sizes.  Most Panasonic blood pressure monitors have larger cuffs that are sold separately, but the EW3152A is built in such a way that this is not possible.  So make sure your arm isn't too large before purchasing this monitor.

Overall, this is still one of the best blood pressure monitors, even despite the lack of extras.  If you are looking for a very easy to use and accurate model, and don't mind paying for it, then this is a highly recommended choice.
