Review

The Panasonic EW3106W blood pressure monitor is the second most popular model from Panasonic.  It is known for its accuracy and moderate price.  While it doesn't have any amazing or innovative features, it does have all the basic features you would expect from a blood pressure monitor in its price range.

As you would hope, this is a very reliable blood pressure monitor.  It uses Panasonic's digital filter technology, which assists in detecting and isolating only essential pulse oscillations, which assists in eliminating other noise factors.  This will result for a more accurate and comfortable measurement of your blood pressure, and the Panasonic EW3106W is guaranteed to be accurate in a range of plus or minus 3mmHG.

Although it is accurate and easy to use, it would be nice if this blood pressure monitor had more extra features.  It can store 21 readings, which is better than nothing, but much lower than many competing blood pressure monitor models.  It's recommended that you keep a record of your own statistics, since 21 readings aren't sufficient to properly monitor your blood pressure.  Also, it's unfortunate that the EW3106W doesn't come with AC adapter support.  Instead, it requires 4 "AA" batteries, which are included.  On the bright side, the batteries will remain charged for approximately 500 readings, which is quite a while, yet many people will still prefer using an AC adapter for their blood pressure monitor.

The cuff systems on the Panasonic EW3106W will work well for most people.  The one-touch auto inflate will automatically fit your arm with the push of a button to optimize accuracy.  However, the included cuff only goes up to 13-1/4 inches, which won't fit some people with larger arms.  You can still purchase an extra-large cuff for your blood pressure monitor, but it would be better if it was included in the price.  But it should be noted that the cuff can go as small as 7-1/4 inches, which will fit most people with smaller arms, and even most children.

This is an overall solid blood pressure monitor.  It's best for those who want a mid-priced blood pressure monitor with all of the basic features, and who are willing to sacrifice some extra features for a slightly more reliable blood pressure reading.
