Review

Most of the popular automatic blood pressure monitor models are used around the arm, but the Mark of Fitness MF-84 is used around the wrist instead.  It's a cheap and compact manual that's easy to use.  The down side is that it's prone to giving inaccurate readings and has a higher rate of failure than a typical blood pressure monitor.

If you decide to buy this blood pressure monitor and you're lucky enough for it to remain functioning for a long time, then it is a great value.  At under $30, the MF-84 is one of the cheapest automatic blood pressure monitors that you can find.  Some people will like that it tests blood pressure by using your wrist, especially if they have very large arms, because it can be difficult to find a large sized cuff for your arm.  And very few people will find that their wrist is the wrong size to measure their blood pressure.

Being a cheap blood pressure monitor, there are few extras, as would be expected.  There is nothing really advanced about it, and it doesn't come with an AC adapter either.  Instead, you have to use 2 "AAA" batteries, but that really isn't so bad.  However, it does come with a couple of features, like an irregular heartbeat detector and a dual 30-time memory, so two separate users can record their blood pressure up to 30 times each.  The Mark of Fitness MF-84 also comes with a carrying case, and together with its compact size make it easy to take your blood pressure monitor anywhere with you.

By far the biggest downside with this blood pressure monitor is that it can be unreliable.  Many users never run into a problem, but they're the lucky ones.  A lot of people have gotten wildly inaccurate readings, being both way too high and too low.  The MF-84 also gives more error messages than the typical blood pressure monitor, which can be frustrating.  The good news for people who run into these problems is that it comes with a 5 year warranty, and is inexpensive to begin with.  Only buy this blood pressure monitor if you're willing to take the risk.
